Dreamtime Storytime - November 21 - December 19

For ages 2-5 with a favorite caregiver.
Our regular storytime season has ended, but we have more stories to share. So pull on your jammies and bring a snuggly to cozy up with, and join us for stories sure to bring you sweet dreams. Preschool Star Party

Stargazers welcome! Educators from the Virginia Discovery Museum StarLab bring the night sky in all its wonder into the Central Library. Listen to a star story and gaze at the magical Milky Way and starry constellations in VaDM’s fabulous StarLab. Registration is required and begins November 26.

Lego Mania

It’s Bin Fun: Sensory Play for Infants and Toddlers

Captivate your little scientist with open-ended, child-led play which engages the senses. The children will explore bins containing a variety of sensory materials. Storybook Beat - Fall Sessions

Enjoy 45 minutes together with engaging books, flannel stories and puppets.
Sing and move to music, using scarves, and rhythm instruments. Enjoy a simple craft at conclusion of the class. Siblings welcome.

Read and Rhyme Time - Fall Sessions

For ages 1-2 with an accompanying parent or caregiver.
Session One: September 14 - October 12
Session Two: November 9 - December 14
A half hour of fun that promotes verbal, motor, and social skills using short books, puppets, fingerplays, and flannel stories. Musical activities with movement, using scarves, shaker eggs, and rhythm instruments. Each class concludes with a short social playtime. Siblings welcome.

Sharks: A Boy’s Book Club
